Getting into the right mindset is one of the most powerful things you can do, whatever industry you’re in or want to get into. Getting into the right mindset is half of the battle, so working on it consistently is key, whatever you want to achieve.

By working on your mindset, you can do things you once thought impossible. Just ask some of the greats who have mastered it, like Tim Ferriss and Tony Robbins! Mindset even matters more than any ‘talent’ you feel you have cultivated or were born with.

How can you get into the right mindset? Read on to find out...

Think Of It As A Voice

Start off by thinking of your mindset as a voice. You probably have conversations in your own head all day long, but do you really stay mindful and pay attention to what they are saying to you? Once you begin to pay more attention, you can assess where your mindset is at currently and figure out what you can do to improve it.

Is your mindset telling you that you’re not talented enough, that you’ll never be able to get to where you want to be, or that you might fail? This is the mindset you need to get out of. Whenever you notice these thoughts, choose a different one. Clapback to those voices and be as sassy as you like. Tell them that although you may not be able to do something now, that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to in the future with hard work and consistency.

Do this often enough and you can really change the way you think.

Choose Growth

Ensure that with everything you say, you choose growth. ‘Yet’ is a very powerful word, whether you’re saying ‘I can’t do that yet’ or ‘I don’t understand that yet.’ Yet gives the impression that one day you will, rather than just saying you can’t do something or you don’t understand it, which implies that you never will. Ensure that you’re choosing growth with everything you think and say.

Practice What You Preach

The question isn’t who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.
— Ayn Rand

You can’t just think big and act small. Acting small is the same as thinking small. Start practicing what you preach. Make sure you learn as much as you can, even if it’s just an update to OCC guidelines that relate to the industry you want to be in. Create a plan and set goals that will help you on your way to where you want to be.

Research The Tools

There are all kinds of tools out there that will help you to get into the right mindset. You can use different meditations, affirmations, and books to help you. There’s a plethora out there, all you have to do is find them and be consistent with them.

Hopefully, these ideas help you to see that getting into the right mindset is crucial and that anybody can do it. Don’t delay it any longer. Start today and you’ll be glad that you did!
