Does your website tell people who you and your business are, and what you aim to achieve? Does it hint at this with every image or logo you add to your homepage? Is there an ‘About Us’ tab for someone to peruse through if they’re curious? Or is your website a bit of a mess, with information and pictures everywhere, and no cohesive narrative for someone to follow?

This might be the time for you to hire on a Website Designer, to make sure you’ve got a pro on your side that can immediately identify any issues with your current layout or content, and then go on to help you resolve them productively and proactively. You don’t want to sit there stuck over what you need to change, considering the speed the online world moves, so get a professional in to shed some light.

Do You Know Your Audience?

For your website to reflect who you indeed are, as a company, you’re going to need to know who your audience is, and what kind of personalities you’re most likely to sell to. You need these personas to come up with a marketing campaign at all, so why not implement the same ideas in your website design?

Your website needs to reflect who your average customer is, as well as who you are, to make sure your message really gets across. It needs to be clear and straightforward to whoever’s on the lookout for a product or service like yours, to really entice them in and get them to invest in what you’re selling. And that takes a bit of time and effort - you need to do your research, get some feedback, find out what your competitors are doing, etc. It all can inspire you to add something that’s going to take your website the extra mile.

Your website should reflect who you are as its most basic principle. If it’s not doing this, you’re going to need to change things, and even scrap your current plan entirely!
