Amazon Prime Releases Prime Service For EBT REcipients
The other day, I posted an article about Amazon's recent announcement that they will be increasing their monthly prime subscription costs. In an attempt to move more subscribers to the $99 yearly subscription, monthly prices will increase from $10.99 to $12.99--a 20% price increase. Based on the reactions on Facebook, many Amazon customers are not happy with the increase in the monthly price. However, I noted that Amazon did announce a prime subscription for EBT cardholders which did intrigue quite a few.
Amazon's new program includes some of the same great benefits of the regular program. Customers with a valid EBT card can receive the same fast free two-day shipping, stream videos and movies, music streaming, Prime Now, and other benefits on family and household goods---pampers, baby registry items, and family items. This is an excellent service and helps families most in need get great products at a reduced cost.
The Prime membership, like all prime subscriptions, is not a discount program. There is no specific discount that is applied and EBT benefits cannot be used for purchases. The program only offers the stated benefits that other prime subscriptions offer. Yet, it is still a great program for families who need it most.
If you are interested in signing up or know someone who is you can sign up by clicking on the banner below. You will need your EBT card number, the card (which you will upload an image of on their site), and the details required by Amazon.
Amazon also offers other subscription programs, such as their "subscribe and save" program which sends good to you automatically every month at a discounted price. There is also their "dash" button. It's an exciting feature. Your family uses Bounty paper towel. But, you use a lot and you always run out at the wrong time. Even worse, no one remembers to remind you all the paper towel is gone. This is where dash is amazing. Put a dash button beside the paper towel holder and when it's almost gone, hit the button, and Amazon will ship you more paper towels.
Amazon Fresh is a grocery delivery program for $14.99 per month. Similar to Fresh Direct, Amazon Fresh will delivery your groceries directly to your front door. You pick the groceries you need, and they bring them to you. With their new acquisition of Whole Foods this might be a great option for really busy people.
Many people are already familiar with some of Amazon's other popular programs. There is Amazon Beauty, Kindle Unlimited, Textbooks and Wedding stores. Amazon is determined to cover all households needs and deliver to them the products they need whenever they want them at the best price possible. Even better, you can sign up for as many of these programs as you want!
